Preah Keo, which is in Cambodian history, now is in Thailand as a result of Thai invasion in Cambodia in the past.
That’s historically …
That’s historically true…but this tale is symbolic. And you can’t think of Preah Kaew in this story as being the same as Preah Kaew the Emerald Buddha…they’re conceptually related, but obviously not exactly the same. Many countries have stories of Preah Kaew, only Cambodia has this specific one.
